Continuing the Work of Hayden Hewes

The Founder: Hayden Hewes Investigating the Unknown Since 1957

In 1957, while the world looked to the stars during the Space Race, Hayden Hewes looked for answers closer to home. Recognizing a need for serious, unbiased inquiry into Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, he established the International UFO Bureau (IUFOB) with a singular mission: to document the facts, no matter where they led.

Hewes pioneered a “boots-on-the-ground” methodology. He didn’t just collect stories; he deployed investigators to crash sites, interviewed witnesses, and analyzed physical trace evidence. His relentless pursuit of the truth created one of the world’s most comprehensive private archives of UAP data—a foundation the Bureau continues to build upon today.
